In this meeting, heartaches and hopes, and how spiritual lives really do matter in recovery are discussed and explored. This recovery and faith fellowship welcomes those whose lives have been affected by any addiction in any way, and those who are ‘recovery allies’ – who just want to do their part in finding a solution to this deadly scourge. After all...it takes a village!
These Faith and Recovery Meetings are held weekly on Thursdays beginning at 5:00 PM ET.
This ministry derives from the need to bring those who have lost a loved one to addiction together for fellowship and spiritual consolation. We grieve not only the loss of our loved one but also the fraught experience of that beloved’s time of addiction. Whether it involves a substance or a behavior, the afflicted are often misunderstood, marginalized, and stigmatized.
When we grieve their loss, we often carry the pain of this with us after they have gone. We know that we benefit from sharing our unique experience and learning to see it from a spiritual perspective.
We invite anyone who is grieving this kind of loss to join us for these monthly virtual meetings every second Tuesday of the month beginning at 7:30 PM ET.

Those who suffer from any form of addicition have a much better chance of success at staying their addiction when they seek a 3-part holistic approach of support and healing of MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT.
ITHIRST spiritual support programs do not take the place of other addicition support services, but is an important component of this holistic approach to addicition recovery. iThirst support groups provide the spiritual component of the disease of addiction that cannot be met by clinical professionals, but by the spiritual consolation and guidance that the Church can provide.

For more than 100 years the Missionary Servants have provided support, respite and spiritual comfort for those individuals and families struggling with substance use disorders. The roots of this ministry were planted in the former St. Joseph Villa ( now the Trinity House Retreat Center) located at the Shrine of St. Joseph in Stirling, NJ, which provided treatment to alcoholic priests for more than 50 years.
In 1964, Fr. Fred Lawrence, ST, founded the Serenity Retreat League at the Trinity House in Stirling, as a way of offering spiritual support and encouragement to the families of alcoholics. Today, the Missionary Servants seek to continue the tradition of aiding the families of the addicted as well as the individuals themselves through the iTHIRST Initiative.
